Help with 1997 2.2l/5M wiring.

I finally got the old engine and tranny out of my truck. However, the OEM wiring harness isn't as simple as I thought it would be. Is there anyone here that wouldn't mind coming by to show me what needs to stay and what needs to go?

I'd appreciate it.

PS. In reminder, I'm installing an LS6/T56. Having a custom harness built as we speak.

Pretty sure you keep everything but the engine harness. Who is building the new harness?

Some guy my friend referred me to. He lives out in Topeka.

The problem I have with the harness is, it isn't that simple. Part of the harness that goes to the PCM also leads to a large connector that goes into the cab on the passenger side. Then another part goes to a connector under the cowl.

sorry man, just got on the forum. Been busy with work and barely on the computer. I know everything is different on the 97 than my 2000. the 97 model doesn't have a fuse box like the 98+, I think its under the dash. Use your harness from the ls6 to mate to the factory plug and your going to have to have a computer from the ls6 programed to run your truck.
